Rights Of Way In Dorset |
|
The Dorset For You web site countryside section has some very useful information about rights of way in Dorset. It includes a form for reporting footpath problems which is back online after being unavailable for a while. The form does not allow for attachments so if you have ROW problem to report and you want to include a photo or sketch map it would be better to use If you are interested in ROWs within the borough of Poole there is a .pdf map that can be accessed here. Temporary closure of the South Dorset Ridgeway and the Dorset Jubilee Trail at RidgewayThe temporary closure is a result of construction work for the A354 Weymouth Relief Road and affects the the South Dorset Ridgeway (former Inland Route of South West Coast Path) and the Dorset Jubilee Trail at Ridgeway Hill, Bincombe. The closure is expected to be put place in few weeks time (as of 29/01/2009) and could last for 18 months until construction works is complete however it is anticipated that completion of a new bridleway bridge over the new road will actually determine what happens. This downloadable map shows the details and an alternative route.
Rights of Way In Adjacent CountiesIf you stray over the border into Hampshire their county council has a Online map page. The equivalent page for Devon is here and for Somerset is here For Wiltshire you can find ROW information via their walking and cycling page.
